colortail software package provides log colorizer that makes log checking easier, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install colortail
colortail is installed in your system.
Make ensure the colortail package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep colortail *
You will get with colortail package name, version, architecture and description in a table
